'About six years ago, we moved into a beautiful home,
but we've never felt right here. My son, Dan, went through
a phase of having fainting fits, although the doctor could
find no medical reason for it. The other kids complain
of aching joints. I educate them at home, so they are
indoors more than most children, and I worry our home
might be affecting them. I myself feel very tired and
depressed all the time. I used to write creatively, but
now I just feel blocked. Our friends don't like staying
over, and there's a bathroom nobody ever wants to use
because It just doesn't feel right, even though it has
a lovely bath in it. Please help we don't want to move.'

We
sent in Susie Shaw who uses techniques including dowsing, space
clearing and earth acupuncture. Susie says ‘The fact that
Chris feels tired and stuck suggests that her home has geopathic
stress, which occurs when the energies rising through the earth
get distorted by weak magnetic fields.
You
often find stress lines in areas where there has been some kind
of emotional trauma, or where there is a physical disturbance,
such as an underground stream. I did some research into the house
and surrounding area, and found there are several quarries in
the area as well as lots of water. At one point, a dam burst and
flooded the area, destroying local homes, and the area was declared
a wasteland. Eventually, houses were built there again, including
Chris’s, which was built in 1859. However; the man who built
it died the same year; so there are unhappy associations.

When
I dowsed the home, my dowsing rods confirmed the geopathic
stress I suspected. I also discovered a powerful ley line
running through it. These lines are areas of strong positive
energy, and you often find sacred sites on them. However;
they can also cause disturbances. In this case, Chris and
Jaak have buift an extension right on the ley line, and
Dan was sleeping over it. This could explain why he had
fainting fits. I quickly realised why nobody wanted to use
the bathroom because when I dowsed it, I discovered a gateway,
which is an area that allows spirits of people who have
passed over to come through to our world. |

Their
energies vibrate on different levels to ours and can affect the
atmosphere. There was a lot of detrimental energy in Chris’s
home, and I’m not surprised they’ve all been struggling.
‘Earth acupuncture is one of the best ways to temper disturbing
ley lines, as it pins the energy down and reduces it. I went into
the garden, located the stress lines running through the house
and, using my dowsing rods and pendulum, hammered copper ‘needles’
into the ground along the lines. I also performed healing on the
earth, using flower remedies. As wfth healing on people, this
helps balance energies.
‘I went back into the house and did some space clearing,
using smudge sticks, a drum and a bell to clear stagnant energy
from the home. All buildings collect blocked energy, which is
absorbed by the walls, floors, fumiture and ornaments. Clearing
helps remove this energy and creates an environment in which you
can focus on what you truly want in life.
I asked the family to think about what they would like to happen
in the near future. Chris is unhappy at work, so she said she
wanted to find a new job. I asked everyone to write their wish
lists and bury them in plant pots. Every time the plants are watered,
the wishes are nurtured and reinforced. Finally, I encouraged
them to de-clutter several areas of the house, including the porch,
which is particularly important as it’s the entrance to
the home. Clutter can cause stagnant energy making everyone feel
tired and unhappy.’

Chris
says ‘I was very emotional the day Susie came, but
I felt the difference immediately afterwards. The house
felt more like a home. It was as though something had lifted.
I wasn’t happy with the busy hospital environment
where I worked. Amazingly, within a few weeks of writing
my wish list, I found a new job as a community midwife,
which I love. I have so much more energy, and the children
say they feel much better too. Their friends now enjoy coming
to stay over. And everyone has started enjoying having baths
in that bathroom again. The house feels completely different.’

BOOST
YOUR VA-VA-VOOM
Here
are Susies suggestions for adding some zing to your
life:
Clear the clutter yes? I know youve
heard it before, but piles of paper and mounds of clothes
encourage stagnant energy. Start off small, with just
one drawer. Even that will make a difference.
Beware of placing electrical gadgets or cables too close
to your bed, as they can disturb your sleep, leaving you
weary. Place an inspiring picture opposite where you sleep,
and cover or remove mirrors that reflect the bed.
If youve never slept well with your bed in its current
position, you may be sleeping over ley lines or geopathic
stress. Try shifting it to a different part of the room.
Keep your windows clean to let in lots of sparkly outdoor
energy.
Bringing nature indoors will give you a
lift.
Fresh flowers and pot plants with rounded leaves are best
for boosting your vitality.
